The Dishwasher performs a number of kitchen activities including pot washing, dish washing, general cleaning duties and storing food and non-food supplies. A great opportunity for someone looking to GROW their culinary skills!

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

• Responsible for preparing and plating all food items based on standardized recipes to include, but not limited to: boils, braises and roasts as well as fries, steams, grills, and bakes.
• Assists in food prep assignments to include daily prep, special functions, banquets, catering, holiday and special events.
• Thoroughly cleans kitchen daily.
• Sets up the dish and pot washing area, and washes pots, dishes and utensils.
• Distributes and stores clean pots, dishes and utensils.
• Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Empties all trash containers in kitchen into dumpster daily.
• Keeps storerooms, freezers and refrigerators clean.
• Mops floors at designated times.
• Stores food and non-food supplies, restocking provisions after deliveries.
• Follows all safety procedures when handling kitchen equipment and complies with department sanitation standards and personal hygiene/uniform standards.
• Performs other duties as required and assigned by Chefs and/or supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications and standards.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance.
• Ability to set up and operate dish washing equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
