Children’s Therapy Center is looking for a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing, natural-environment based Early Support for Infants & Toddlers (ESIT) Team, serving our Tacoma, WA service area! Our preferred candidate is experienced, with training in sensory processing and play-based therapy; feeding and/or NDT is a plus. Our Speech Therapist will have a strong passion for helping children with special needs, and their families reach their full potential.


Job Description


Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform evaluations using formal and informal assessment tools
  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate goals
  • Maintain timely treatment records and progress reports
  • Consistently assess progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Provide parent coaching and support as an integral part of the therapy program
  • Order assistive devices, and/or adaptive equipment as necessary
  • Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary and collaborative team

Qualifications


Demonstrable experience and other qualifications:

  • Degree in communication sciences or a related major from an accredited college or university
  • Dedicated to quality, with a willingness to learn and share
  • Experience working with children with developmental delay or disability preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively with parents, staff and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Must have or obtain a SLP license in the State of Washington
  • Must have or obtain ASHA Certification
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications and a valid Driver's License and/or reliable personal transportation

Schedule:

This position is available a full time 40 hour per week; candidates available for part-time hours are also encouraged to apply.

Compensation & Benefits:

Children’s Therapy Center offers equitable and competitive pay commensurate with job-related experience and education. The pay rate range for this position is $35.98 - $53.51dependent on related experience and education.

Our comprehensive benefits package includes generous paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and continuing education benefits. Supplemental/premium insurance options are also available. Eligible employees can enroll in our retirement plan with their first paycheck and will be eligible for company contributions after their first year of employment.
