Job Description

Now Hiring: Medical Device Assembly Operators

Carlsbad/1st and 2nd Shift/ $21/HR - $23/HR

Engage in the manufacturing and assembly of medical devices by following specific procedures and instructions to ensure quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, Line Clearance, Work Instructions, and assembly methods.

  • Ensure compliance with Good Documentation Practices, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and Safety requirements.

  • Complete training on production tasks and understand travelers/routers.

  • Identify materials and utilize microscopes, as well as production and inspection tools and equipment necessary for product builds.

  • Operate tools and equipment, and complete documentation as required.

  • Perform equipment setup, operation, and in-process inspection to accomplish assigned tasks.

  • Collaborate with Engineers and Supervisors to ensure product integrity and quality.

  • Assist Engineers in developing process documentation.

  • Perform inventory counts.

  • Receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • 1-2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in medical device assembly.

  • Proficiency in using microscopes and inspection tools.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Knowledge of cleanroom protocols and SMT operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in medical device assembly, production, or small electronics.

  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or prototyping environment.

  • Experience with catheter product manufacturing is a plus.

  • Ability to use safety equipment when performing lab work.

  • Prior experience in a cleanroom setting.

  • Capability to understand and perform in-process inspections to assure quality.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
