About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to serve as the senior clinical leader, with a primary focus on overseeing the quality and delivery of medical care, ensuring regulatory compliance, and guiding strategic clinical initiatives. The CMO will be responsible for clinical leadership and oversight, quality and patient safety, technology and digital health strategy, strategic planning, collaboration, population health, and value-based care. This pivotal role requires a visionary leader who can align clinical operations with the mission of providing equitable, high-quality care to a diverse urban population. The successful candidate will be a champion for physician well-being, organizational culture, and community engagement, and will be expected to lead initiatives that prevent physician burnout and promote mental health support. Applicants for the CMO position at the company must have a medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution, board certification in a clinical specialty, and a minimum of 10 years of clinical experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within an acute care hospital. The role demands a leader with proven expertise in hospital operations, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance, as well as strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare is essential. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree or certification in a related field, experience in urban healthcare settings, and a track record of successful change management. Bilingual capabilities, particularly in Spanish, are preferred. The CMO will be evaluated based on various key performance indicators, including patient safety metrics, clinical quality outcomes, patient experience scores, and the financial performance of clinical services.
