About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief of Staff and Vice President of Operations to play a pivotal role in the organization's mission to foster inclusive innovation and economic growth. The successful candidate will be a key thought partner to the Department Leadership, overseeing a range of essential duties including department budget, strategic initiatives, and communication processes. This role involves leading a Project Support Team, managing a variety of operational responsibilities, and ensuring the effective execution of the department's programs and capital projects. The Chief of Staff will also be instrumental in team building, culture development, and professional growth, as well as assisting with HR efforts and taking on special projects to enhance department operations. Applicants for the Chief of Staff and Vice President of Operations position at the company should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in management consulting, business operations, or program design and execution. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in operations, compliance, and experience in the adoption of technology and related processes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coaching, pand rofessional development, and a demonstrated interest in equitable economic development, urban planning, or public policy. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work in cross-functional teams, and a commitment to the values of the organization are essential. The role is based in New York City, and residency is required within 180 days of hire.
