An innovative strategic communications consultancy is seeking an accomplished Business Development professional to lead growth initiatives for the firm. This senior leadership role will be responsible for driving revenue, expanding client relationships, and collaborating with other company leadership to position the firm as a trusted advisor to top-tier organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute growth strategies aligned with the firm's vision and market opportunities.
  • Build and nurture relationships with C-Suite executives, decision-makers, and key stakeholders across industries such as financial services, big tech, and CPG.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships and high-value client engagements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to craft compelling proposals and deliver tailored solutions that address client needs.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.
  • Take ownership of the pitch and close process, leveraging the firm's strong reputation and capabilities.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic planning and business positioning.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management within professional services, consulting, or communications.
  • Proven track record of building and sustaining relationships with C-Suite executives and securing complex, high-value engagements.
  • Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of the strategic communications landscape and its role in corporate reputation, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
