Overview High School Social Studies Teacher role at Stride, Inc. This is a full-time, online position with occasional in-person or school-site travel as required by the program. The program is part of Florida Cyber Charter Academy (FLCCA) and involves working remotely with students, families, and learning coaches. Responsibilities Provides rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students Personalizes learning for all students and differentiates instruction based on student mastery Maintains a positive rapport with families and regularly communicates with students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner Supports learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues and basic troubleshooting in a virtual classroom environment Monitors student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system Prepares students for high-stakes standardized tests Travels as required (approximately 20% of the time) for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and as required by the school Qualifications Bachelor's degree Active state teaching license Ability to clear required background check Desired Qualifications Experience with the target age group Experience supporting adults and students in the use of technology Experience teaching online and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment Experience with online learning platforms Ability to interpret and use data to drive instructional decisions Coachable and collaborative with administrators and teacher trainers Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint Ability to adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms Ability to maintain teaching certification and professional development hours Position Details Salary: $47,500 with potential annual bonus Start Date: ASAP Work hours: typically 40+ per week Location: virtual environment; occasional travel as needed Work Environment The work environment is virtual.
