St. Mary' School in Rockville Maryland is hiring a Maintenance Technician for the 2025-26 school year.
This is a full time role and will report to the Facilities Manager; the schedule will be Monday - Friday 7am to 3pm
The pay rate for this role is $23.00 to $25.00 per hour with excellent benefits.

Duties and responsibilities

• Basic maintenance and repair work for school buildings on the St. Mary's campus
• All routine cleaning of classrooms and public areas
• Open the building each morning
• all routine maintenance activities such as changing lightbulbs, moving furniture, desks and chairs.
• Light plumbing, snow removal, general upkeep of property.
• During the summer months, the maintenance technician will assist in painting and repairs to prepare for the next school year

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Effective team player with strong interpersonal and mechanical skills
• Ability to perform multiple tasks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of maintenance and repairs.
• Reliable transportation
• Must be self-motivated and responsible, ability to work with minimal supervision

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years prior professional experience in building and grounds maintenance work
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent
• Electronic background check. Will need to be trained and in compliance with Archdiocesan Child Protection Policy
