Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting our procurement operations, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of raw materials and supplies essential for our production. Your efforts will directly contribute to our ability to maintain high-quality standards and meet our customers' diverse packaging needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist procurement staff with the end-to-end purchasing process, from requisition to delivery.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors for materials such as films, resins, and other packaging components.
• Place purchase orders and track them to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
• Collaborate with the inventory control team to monitor stock levels and generate replenishment orders.
• Communicate with suppliers to resolve any issues regarding quality, delivery, or invoicing.
• Support the development and maintenance of strong supplier relationships.
• Assist in analyzing market trends to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare reports on purchases, cost analyses, and supplier performance.
• Work closely with the sales and production teams to align procurement with customer demand and production schedules.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin is required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in a purchasing, procurement, or inventory support role; experience in manufacturing or packaging is a plus.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with an ERP or inventory management system is highly desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive problem-solver with a team-oriented mindset.
