• Responsible for verifying, preparing, and forwarding purchase orders, and verifying receipt of items.
• Negotiate the best supplier terms for pricing and delivery based on customer needs, specific budget, and schedule requirements.
• Work with our sales department to help develop and deliver customer quotes quickly and accurately.
• Prepare written inquiries and obtain written quotes for vendor supplied items and subcontracts.
• Negotiate terms and conditions, and issue purchase order or subcontract with all required documentation.
• Negotiate and issue change orders to purchase orders and subcontracts with all required documentation.
• When required, manage rental equipment, and maintain files to chart delivery, rates, and return.
• Review, coordinate and resolve invoice problems with supplier and A/P
• Establish and maintain working contact with suppliers. Meet with sales and supplier representatives as required.
• Handle return material and ensure project receives proper and timely credit.
• React and take immediate actions in case of changes in priority.
• May be assigned to conduct tasks not specifically listed within the scope and skill level of this job.

Requirements:

• 2 – 4 years college degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years purchasing experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Worked in Aerospace machining environment a plus.
• Can work with others to develop solutions but does not require constant supervision.
• Can deal with change and pressure with shifting priorities, deadlines and goals.
• Will respond positively to unpredictable situations or problems.
• Has strong problems solving skill and understands cost.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident because of ITAR restrictions.

 

Desired Requirements:
• Knowledge of ERP System.
• Thorough knowledge of purchasing policies, processes and procedures.
