**Description**
Under close, ongoing direct supervision of a BCaBA, BCBA or BCBA-D, the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT II) at the Emory Autism Center (EAC) is responsible for the direct day-to-day implementation of individual and or group behavior-analytic programs for children and or adults with and without autism spectrum disorder (ASD), dependent on program placement. The RBT II may assist the BCaBA, BCBA, or BCBA-D with training other staff or trainees on implementation of ABA procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Responsible for implementing individualized treatment plans both to increase functional skills and to reduce challenging behaviors that interfere with learning.
+ Maintains data on program parameters and targeted behaviors for use in program and progress evaluations.
+ Duties will include activity set-up, direct care and instruction to group and/or individuals with and without ASD, dependent on program placement, using evidence-based procedures and teaching strategies, collecting and graphing data, and writing session notes.
+ The May assist the BCBA or BCBA-D with family training, behavioral assessments, and documentation of client progress. Ensures compliance with national, state, university practice policies and procedures.
+ May be required to lift or move up to approximately 50 lbs. and be able to assume or maintain a variety of postures (e.g., kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing, walking) for extended periods of time.
+ Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, behavioral science, or related field AND Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
+ At least two years of experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities preferred.
+ Must be at least 18 years old, have reliable transportation and pass a background check.
NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
