As a Wedding & Event Manager at Edgewood Tahoe Resort, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing luxury weddings and high-end events with impeccable attention to detail. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their vision is brought to life while upholding the resort’s standards of excellence. From initial inquiry to final execution, you will oversee all aspects of event planning, vendor coordination, and guest experience, ensuring flawless and memorable events. Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of wedding and event planning, from initial consultations to post-event follow-ups. Work closely with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and expectations. Coordinate with internal teams (catering, banquet, housekeeping, concierge, etc.) to ensure seamless execution. Oversee vendor management, including florists, photographers, musicians, decorators, and entertainment providers. Develop detailed event timelines, floor plans, and production schedules. Conduct site visits, presentations, and consultations with prospective clients. Develop customized event proposals and contracts tailored to client needs. Assist with menu selection, tastings, and beverage pairings with the culinary team. Provide exceptional service to high-net-worth clients and VIP guests. Build and maintain strong relationships with repeat clients, wedding planners, and industry partners. Troubleshoot and resolve any last-minute challenges to deliver a seamless experience. Oversee on-site event execution, ensuring every detail aligns with the agreed-upon plan. Maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion in handling high-profile events. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business. Qualifications and Skills Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Minimum of 3 years of experience in luxury event planning, preferably in a high-end resort or hospitality setting. Proven track record of managing large-scale weddings and corporate events. Strong knowledge of wedding trends, cultural traditions, and luxury event services. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Physical Requirements Must be able to safely lift, move, and stack items weighing up to 40 lbs.
