SUMMARY

The Electrician's Helper is responsible for assisting Foremen and Mechanics in the execution of electrical installations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following, other duties may be assigned.

· Coordinates and gathers tools and supplies

· Assists in the installation of materials to project scope, NEC and company guidelines and quality standards

· Keeps worksite clean and free of debris

· Follows all safety rules and alerts a Mechanic or Supervisor if safety hazards are identified ·

· Accurately records time in the company's time tracking system

QUALIFICATIONS

· At least 90 days· experience as a Green Helper or previous Electrician's Helper Experience

· Must pass the Electrician's Helper Quiz

· Must be recommended by a Supervisor

· Ability to operate smartphone technology

· Ability to count

· Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English

· Ability to safely operate a variety electric, battery-operated and manual hand tools

· Ability to drive a motor vehicle

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

· Ability to stand for long periods, walk, squat, kneel, and climb a ladder

· Ability to grasp, hold and twist and manipulate objects with their hands (manual dexterity)

· Ability to hear verbal instructions and safety warnings

· Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

WORK ENVIRONMENT

· Construction sites can be loud (hearing protection is sometimes required)

· Construction sites can be hot or cold, depending on the time of year and the stage of construction

· Construction sites have slip and trip hazards, fall hazards, hazards from falling debris and other safety hazards. PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses and work boots are typically required.

WORK HOURS

· The work hours for this position are typically 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch break, but may vary based on client need and project schedule. Any changes in schedule will be announced by a Supervisor

· overtime and weekend work may be required during busy periods.

DRESS CODE

· Shirts must have a minimum of 6" sleeves and must be of full length.

· Long pants are required except in rare cases where shorts are approved. Pants must be appropriate for a construction site, be clean and neat with no holes. sweat pants are not allowed. Undergarments should not be seen.

· Work boots are required. Safety shoes are recommended and may be required on some jobs. Tennis shoes, sneakers, soft-soled or worn-out shoes are not allowed.

· Apparel may not contain offensive language or images.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
